In the last couple days, the Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ received the One UI 2.0 update based on Android 10. The same can’t be said about their 5G alternatives: the Galaxy Note10 5G and Galaxy Note10+ 5G. The two smartphones are indeed still waiting for the update which could be slightly delayed.
Samsung Galaxy Note10 5G and Note10+ 5G Android 10 Update Delayed to 2020
According to a community manager over on Samsung’s Korean forums, One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 for the Galaxy Note10 5G and Note10+ 5G will only be available in 2020. The company then apologized for the delay and promised the updates will come as early as possible next year.
Gizchina News of the week
Samsung did not explain the reason behind te delay, but GSMArena speculates it has to do with the support for the 5G technology itself. We’ve indeed seen the same “issue” with the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G for which the Android 10 update is coming next year; while the 4G variant is already enjoying the latest OS by Google for some months now.
So, if you own a Samsung Galaxy Note10 5G or Note10+ 5G, you’re bound to wait a little longer for the update; which shouldn’t be too big of a deal. After all, you want Samsung to release a functional and optimized OS when it’s fully ready. Even more so when 5G technology is involved given how taxing it is on the battery. A badly optimized 5G phone could really spoil the entire user experience.
What do you guys think about the delay? Do you own either of the two smartphone? Let us know down below!
