Samsung Launches Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G Variant in India for $505

Back in October, Samsung launched Galaxy Watch Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 4G in the Indian market. The smartphone maker has now announced the Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G variant in the country. With the new variant, the chaebol has expanded its wearable portfolio even further. As the name suggests, the new variant offers 4G LTE connectivity which is something the previous variant was lacking. The rest of the internal hardware remains the same.

Coming to the price tag, the 4G variant of the watch comes with a price tag of INR 35,990 which is roughly $505. Interested buyers can find the wearable on Samsung online & offline stores and other e-commerce websites. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G comes in a single size i.e. 44mm speed dial and three color options namely Silver, Black, and Gold.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G: Specs, Features

The all-new Active 2 sports a 1.4-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 360×360 pixels. The display comes with a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ along with the support of Always On Display. Under the hood, the wearable is powered by Exynos 9110 chipset paired with 1.5GB RAM and 4GB of onboard memory. The SoC comes with two cores and is clocked at 1.15GHz. The watch runs on the Tizen-based operating system.

Unlike the Galaxy Watch, the Active 2 features a touch rotating bezel that turns both clockwise and counter-clockwise. It comes with all the standard features such as more than 39 fitness activities, heart rate monitoring, ECG, Ambient Light Sensor and much more. The watch is water and dustproof to up to 5ATM thanks to the IP68 water rating. All of these are backed by a 340mAh battery packed inside. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, GPS, and e-SIM support.

The Watch Active 2 4G supports both Android as well as iOS platforms with the minimum requirements being Android 5.0/iOS 9.0 or higher.
