The stable version of Xiaomi MIUI 11 started rolling out in mid-October. While Xiaomi is preparing this update for more devices, it is also adding some new features. Recently, there were reports that Xiaomi is working on a colour management feature as well as a sound equalizer for MIUI 11. Now, there are indications that MIUI 11 now has a screen-off signature display function.

According to Jin Fan, product director of Xiaomi and the head of MIUI, the screen-off signature will have the time underneath it. According to him, this feature is currently in development. If there are no issues with it, then it should be available in the next stable update.
The signature function of the display is an extension of the colour AOD, which is based on the self-luminous characteristics of the OLED screen. One major concern about this feature is power consumption. However, Xiaomi says that the screen-off signature conserves power while active.
In addition, MIUI users can customize the screen-off signature, as well as modify the font colour, size, thickness, etc. Certainly, some users will not be comfortable with this feature. For such users, they do not need to activate it.
