iPad Pro (2020) renders break cover, show tri-cameras

Last month, the popular and reliable Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that the company may release an updated iPad Pro in the first half of 2020. According to him, the newer iPad Pro could have 3D sensing capability with the help of a new camera system employing a TOF (Time of Flight) sensor. Following his analysis, @OnLeaks, well-known for his CAD render leaks, has now released 3D CAD renders of the upcoming 2020 iPad Pros with triple camera setup, in partnership with iGeeksblog.

Gizchina News of the week

According to @OnLeaks, the forthcoming 2020 iPad Pros will come in two sizes – 11-inches and 12.9-inches, similar to that of 2018 models. Further, it will also have the same dimensions and design except for a new triple camera setup resembling the one from 2019 iPhone 11 Pro series. The leakster did not mention anything about the camera configuration. So, our wild guess is either it will have the same setup from the newer iPhones or might includes a TOF sensor for depth sensing as suggested by Kuo a few weeks back.

Additionally, as per his latest tweet, @OnLeaks has no idea about the rear casing of the newer iPad Pros and hence he has rendered them in both glass and aluminium. Also, earlier this month, Kuo indicated Apple might launch an iPad Pro 12.9-inch with a mini-LED display in the second half of 2020. Hence, we might only see an 11-inch iPad Pro in the spring of next year and not both at the same time.
