The Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 5G were announced earlier this month. While the vanilla variant with LTE connectivity is already selling like hotcakes, the 5G-enabled version is still waiting for its launch date. Customers who are eagerly waiting for the power of the Snapdragon 675G-powered smartphone can finally rest. Xiaomi’s sub-brand announced that the phone will be up for pre-order on January 7.
The Redmi K30 5G boasts Snapdragon 765G SoC that comes with an integrated modem for next-gen connectivity. Worth noting that it is the first smartphone from Redmi to reach 5G speeds. However, that’s only one of the reasons why the device is so awaited. It counts with a Quad-Camera setup comprising a brand new 64MP IMX686 camera from Sony. On the front, there is a 6.67-inch LCD panel with a 120-Hz refresh rate and two front-facing cameras – One with 20MP and another one with 2MP that is used just for bokeh/portrait effects.

The Redmi K30 5G will be the company’s first mid-range device to surf on the 5G web. It will compete with the likes of Oppo Reno 3 Pro and Realme X50 5G in the next year.
