Redmi K30 can be pre-ordered January 1 in person at Mi Stores in China

Earlier today, Xiaomi has made a big announcement for all those who are waiting for the 5G variant of the Redmi K30. The said device will go on sale in January through select online retailers. However, a new report reveals that consumers in China will be able to order the Redmi K30 5G even earlier, in person, by going into a select Mi Store.

Xiaomi announced via a Weibo post that buyers can start placing an order for the 5G smartphone starting on January 1. It also offers a list of specific locations throughout China where customers can go to reserve a unit. There are 35 Mi Store locations across some regions in the country.

According to the poster shared in the Chinese social media, those who pre-order will receive a special gift. Unfortunately, there’s no hint as to what the gift is.

The Redmi K30 5G is currently the company’s most anticipated midrange device thanks to the brand new Snapdragon 765G. The SoC was announced earlier this month with integrated 5G support. Moreover, it features a 6.67-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. A 4,500mAh battery completes the package along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The handset’s price starts at CNY 1,999 (~$285) and maxes out at CNY 2,899 (~$410) for an 8GB + 256GB variant.
