Last week we were telling you that the Samsung Galaxy S11 could finally be renamed to Samsung Galaxy S20. So far, everything could make more or less sense. But with what we have been stunned, is that Samsung will also change the nomenclature of their phones. Last year we saw three different models, the Galaxy S10e, the S10 and the S10 +. In 2020 we will also have three versions of the Samsung Galaxy S20. But the firm leaves the SXXe line that started last year, at least according to the latest leak.
Regarding these phones, we have already been able to see its design in full detail. Including the size of each model that will vary from 6.2 to 6.9 inches. Today we know their supposed final names and there is a surprise: there will be no Galaxy S11e/Galaxy S20e.
Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra
As we have been able to know through the Twitter leaker Ishan Agarwal, the names of the next Samsung flagship will not be as we expected. These phones will be renamed as follows: Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra. Each of them refers to the models of 6.2, 6.7 and 6.9 inches, respectively. In this way, Samsung would have eliminated any trace of the Galaxy S20e. The compact model and would follow a new strategy, that of offering a new device, still larger than the “Plus” model.
Gizchina News of the week
OMG! It seems like Samsung is going all "Pro Max" with the Galaxy S11 Series naming(???). It makes sense there's no S20e but S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra! Both the S20 (SM-G980/1) and S20+ (SM-G985/6) have a 4G and 5G model whereas this supposed S20 Ultra (should be SM-G988) does not. https://t.co/PQ18T06oI9

The truth is that this makes more sense than changing the size of each of your phones in such a radical way. Because it made no sense that your annual flagship went from a compact 6.1 inches to 6.7 in a single generation and without any reason. Therefore, we see a lot of sense that they are finally called Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra. The number can be for two reasons: avoid using the 11 as Apple does and match the 20th of the year in which they will be presented: 2020.
We can tell you a little more. But we have been a little shocked by this new strategy in which Samsung works. Now, we have the doubt if the normal S20 will maintain the same level of quality as until now. Or if it will be chosen to follow the strategy of the iPhone 11 to offer lower characteristics in some sections compared to the Pro models to be able to lower the price.
