TCL Foldable Phone Unveiled at CES 2020, Packs a 7.2-inch Display

In 2019, we’ve finally seen the first foldable phones in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X, along with the later launched Motorola RAZR 2019. Now, albeit the three handset have suffered some issues as far as build quality and availability, the foldable phone trend is here to stay.

The proof of that arrives in the first days of 2020. Chinese electronics company – TCL – did indeed already unveil their foldable phone at the CES 2020 taking place in Las Vegas – meet the TCL Foldable.

The TCL Foldable comes with a large 7.2-inch panel that can be folded into a smaller – yet not too pocket-friendly – device. We call it “device” as on the outside we do not find any secondary display; thus you cannot actually use it when folded.

Additionally, TCL did not reveal much data about the display, such as panel type or resolution. What we know is that it’s covered in a layer of plastic, just like most foldable phones on the market.

As far as the outer shell is concerned, we find a beautiful emerald color back cover with a prism pattern. On the back cover we then find a total of four cameras. Once again, TCL did not reveal any specific data, but we can assume the presence of a high-resolution main sensor 48MP / 64MP, a secondary ultra wide angle lens, a third telephoto camera and either a macro or depth sensor.

Finally, the company claims the TCL Foldable will be officially launched this year, but we still have no info about pricing or supposed availability.
