At the CES 2020 International Consumer Electronics Show, Huami Technology introduced a plethora of products. These include the true wireless sports heart rate headset, Amazfit PowerBuds, the outdoor smartwatch, Amazfit T-Rex, smart earbuds, Amazfit ZenBuds and basic smartwatches such as Amazfit Bip S, etc. In total, the company released six new products but we will look at the Amazfit T-Rex (basically) and the Amazfit Bip S (passively) on this post.
Amazfit T-Rex Smart Watch
The Amazfit T-Rex watch comes with a 1.3-inch AMOLED high-definition colorful screen. It uses a resolution of 360 × 360 and supports always-on display. This means that users can see all key information by hand. The outer bezel hosts metal buttons which ensure that it can be seamlessly operated even in harsh environments. The exterior of the watch body protrudes upwards and the silicone wristband has a sweat guide design.
According to reports, Amazfit T-Rex has passed many rigorous tests such as heat resistance, cold resistance, damp heat, salt spray acid, and alkali, etc. This watch has 12 military standard certifications and supports 50 meters of water resistance. Furthermore, it comes with 14 professional sports modes including walking, elliptical machine, mountain climbing, outdoor hiking, skiing, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, swimming pool, open water swimming, triathlon, and free training.

Amazfit T-Rex uses SONY GPS chip and supports GPS + GLONASS dual star positioning chip/compass function. The in-house BioTracker PPG optical tracking optical sensor can perform 24-hour high-precision heart rate monitoring, and provide functions such as high heart rate vibration alarms during exercise. In terms of battery life, Amazfit T-Rex can reach 20 days in daily use mode. In addition, it can work for 66 days in basic watch mode. Amazfit T-Rex can support up to 20 hours while maintaining GPS continuous operation.

This smartwatch comes in Black, Ash, Camouflage, Green and Khakhi colors. It has a $139.9 price tag in the US and will be available in the US from this month. In China, this device is already on sale for 799 yuan ($115).
Amazfit Bip S
In addition to Amazfit T-Rex, Huami Technology also released a new basic smartwatch – Amazfit Bip S. The watch supports water resistance to 50 meters (5 ATM). This watch uses a 30g ultra-lightweight design. It also has a built-in BioTracker PPG sensor and has a super battery life of up to 40 days. It will roll out starting from February 2020 and will reveal more details and pricing closer to the sale.
