According to leaks from supply chains, Apple is well preparing 4 iPhone 12 models for 2020, including a compact smartphone. In addition to the iPhone 9 (aka iPhone SE2).
Apple has a busy calendar for 2020 on the iPhone side. First, the firm prepares the launch of the iPhone 9, also known as iPhone SE 2. This phone would take the design of the iPhone 8 with more modern components like the Apple A13 Bionic chip.
In addition to this iPhone, Apple is preparing 4 new high-end smartphones, probably for the end of the year, as usual. Thanks to sources from supply chains, the Macotakara site tells us more about Apple’s 2020 range.
“11S” IPHONE MODELS AND A COMPACT IPHONE
Although “iPhone 12” is expected as the likely name for the new iPhones planned by Apple, the information gleaned by Macotakara points rather to “11S” iPhones.
The chassis would be very close to the iPhone 11 with a device equipped with a 6.1 inch OLED screen, to replace the iPhone 11 Pro, and another equipped with a 6.7 inch OLED screen that would replace the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The latter is the one that would have the most aesthetic change, since the chassis would be refined, to 7.4 mm against 8.1 mm for the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
These two iPhones would represent Apple’s ultra-high-end in 2020 and would therefore be equipped with a three-camera module with an additional 3D ToF sensor.

THE REPLACEMENT OF THE IPHONE 11
This year, the “accessible” model, formerly represented by the iPhone XR and since 2019 by the iPhone 11, should adopt a 6.1-inch OLED screen which would make it almost identical on paper to its supposed big brother, iPhone 12 Pro.
The difference between the two smartphones should be mainly at the camera level since the iPhone 12 would only have the right to two cameras on the back.
THE NEW COMPACT MODEL
The most interesting this year is the 4th iPhone that Apple is said to be preparing. This new model would take the borderless design of recent iPhones, but with an OLED screen of only 5.4 inches. It is described as halfway between an iPhone SE and an iPhone 8 in terms of size. It would have the right to the same module with 2 cameras as the iPhone 12.
This iPhone would be scheduled for fall 2020, with an announcement in September along with the other models.
