Galaxy S20 120HZ SCREEN LIMITED TO 60 HZ

It is once again thanks to Max Weinbach, of XDA-Developers, to whom we owe most of the leaks concerning the new flagship of Samsung. According to him, the screens of the Samsung Galaxy S20 are by default limited to 60 Hz in the settings. It would therefore probably be necessary to navigate in the settings of One UI to activate the 120 Hz mode and discover the full potential of these screens.

This practice is not new for the South Korean manufacturer. Indeed, the giant has offered for several generations of devices to vary the definition of the display, between HD+ and QHD+.

We imagine that here too, this measure was decided to save the battery. A 120 Hz screen necessarily consumes more than a 60 Hz screen, and it is likely that users prefer by default a better autonomy than a more fluid display.

We imagine that applications, including games, may request the activation of 120 Hz mode. Recently, Fortnite has been updated to offer a 120 Hz mode on the iPad Pro.
