Gizchina News of the week

If the recent report is to be believed, Xiaomi might be dropping its plan to launch Mi 10 Explorer Edition smartphone. Sadly, the source has not revealed any further information on the same. The company might be reluctant to launch the explorer edition because maybe the device was not able to bring in a solid number of sales. With that said, we’re just speculating at this time. Hopefully, more information will hit our doors in the near future.

Apart from this, the report has also revealed a key aspect of the Mi 10 lineup. The brand for some reason is sticking with the 1080p panel for this lineup. In an attempt to keep the prices down, we might see the brand going further with 1080p display panels.

Xiaomi has No Plans for Mi Pad in 2020

Coming to the last information, the Chinese smartphone maker is dropping its plan to launch Mi Pad this year. Since 2018, Xiaomi has not added any new tablet in its portfolio and it seems like the same trend will follow this year as well.

It is pretty much clear that the company is focussing more on smartphones instead of the tablets. It is also worth mentioning that the company has not released MIUI 11 update for its 2018 Mi Pad 4 lineup so far.

We should learn more about the Mi 10 lineup in the coming days since the company might showcase the series on February 11 at MWC 2020.
