Even though Xiaomi is largely known for smartphones in the international market, the company in its homeland is known for offering more than just phones and accessories. In fact, it might be one of the few smartphone brands that have such a wide range of product portfolio. One such popular product is the company’s RedmiBook lineup that offers premium design and top-end specs at an aggressive price point. It seems like Xiaomi is now planning to finally bring the RedmiBook lineup to India.

Gizchina News of the week
Xiaomi India’s managing director Manu Jain recently posted a tweet on his official account. In the tweet, Jain has shared about his meeting with the Intel India’s MD Prakash Mallya. Furthermore, he mentions that they discussed laptops & technology in the meeting. Even though there is no solid information on what happened in the meeting, there is a good chance that they talked about Xiaomi’s laptop and its entry into the Indian market.
For those who’re unaware, Xiaomi previously applied for the RedmiBook trademark certification in India. This and the tweet point towards the fact that RedmiBook might soon make its way to the Indian market. If that’s the case, then we might see it getting official in the coming months. We might see more information on the internal hardware and pricing in the near future. It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi offers two lineups for its laptops. Just like the smartphones, the RedmiBook is the budget offering while the Mi Notebook is more of a premium range.
We are still speculating all these on the basis of a very unclear tweet. Therefore, everything should be taken with a grain of salt. We’re hoping to see some more information solidifying all these speculations in the near future.
