The company is a manufacturer of mobile phones and tablets in Taiwan, China.
In recent times, HTC’s smartphone business has been quite bad. The company has struggled to find its feet again in the ever-competitive Chinese smartphone market. Earlier, financial reports show that HTC’s revenue in 2019 hit NT $ 10.01 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 57.82%, compared with the total revenue of 2017, which was 87%. This result stands as its worst year in 19 years.

Although we are just getting the official confirmation, reports of HTC China community closure has been lingering for a while. Beginning in early January 2020, members of the HTC community found problems accessing the website (502 error). The page shows that the project no longer provides support. HTC community (Elevate) is an invitation-only high-end fan community and supporter community established by HTC.
HTC brief history/latest smartphone – Desire 19s
Founded in 1997 as a laptop manufacturer, Taiwan-based HTC soon began making smartphones based on Windows Mobile and Brew. It released the first commercial Android smartphone, the HTC Dream, in 2008, and is today a manufacturer of both Android and Windows-based smartphones. Furthermore, HTC re-entered the tablet market with the Google Nexus 9 in 2014. HTC’s latest mobile launch is HTC Desire 19s (November 2019). The phone comes with a 6.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1520 pixels.
The HTC Desire 19s comes with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor. It uses 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable via a microSD card. In the camera department, the HTC Desire 19s packs a 13-megapixel (f/1.85) + 5-megapixel (f/2.2) + 5-megapixel (f/2.2) primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies. This smartphone runs Android 9.0 Pie and also has a 3850 mAh.
