Oppo will present the Find X2 on February 22, 2020 at a conference at the MWC in Barcelona. The Chinese brand has indeed sent invitations for the event to the press. In parallel, a leak confirmed the disappearance of the retractable camera sensor in favor of a perforated screen.

This February 6, Oppo sent an invitation for a conference organized at MWC 2020 in Barcelona. The presentation will take place on February 22, 2020, at 2 p.m. The brand leaves no doubt about the subject of the conference: the Oppo Find X2. “Uncover the ultimate” tease Oppo, probably evoking the 120 Hz screen of the smartphone.

Oppo Find X2: Oppo abandons the retractable camera sensor in favor of a perforated screen

The Ice Universe leaker has posted a photo showing a screen protector for the Oppo Find X2 on its Twitter account. The informant is counting on the integration of an “OLED 20:9 screen, WQHD+ 120Hz”. We can clearly see in the upper left of the protection glass the presence of a tiny hole.

As the latest rumors reported, Oppo decided to abandon the retractable mechanism of the first Oppo Find X to opt for a perforated screen. Like many other manufacturers, Oppo will place the front photo sensor for selfies in a hole in the screen panel.

This is particularly the case with OnePlus . The Chinese company will not equip future OnePlus 8 Pro with the same retractable sensor as the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro. It’s no surprise: Oppo and OnePlus are indeed owned by the same group, BBK Electronics. The smartphones produced by the two brands often share many points of resemblance.

According to the latest news, Find X2 would be powered by Qualcomm’s SoC Snapdragon 865, equipped with the Super VOOC 65W, the fastest charging technology on the market and equipped with a camera composed of the Sony IMX689 48MP. We will tell you more as soon as possible on the subject. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to give your opinion in the comments below.
