Motorola back in the days was one of the fastest companies to deliver Android updates, however, they have come to one of the worst update track records in the industry nowadays. The Motorola One Action came in August 2019 with Android 9 Pie and still hasn’t received Android 10 update worldwide. The handset was contemplated with Android 10 updates in Brazil and India. Now Russian customers will also be happy to know that their country is being included in the lucky spectrum of One Action devices running the latest OS.

The new update bears firmware version QSB30.62-19 and includes December 1, 2019, Android security patch. That’s a two-month outdated security patch, which at this point, is just sad. Apart from the security patch, the new update introduces enhanced animations, new navigation gestures, upgrade one-handed mode and system-wide dark mode. Motorola doesn’t make many changes in Android, so you’ll see everything you expect in vanilla Android there.
One of the main selling points of the Motorola One Action is on its 21:9 aspect ratio and its camera. The latter automatically shoots stills and videos in landscape even when held in portrait mode. The action camera equally features a 117º ultra-wide angle lens. The One Action boasts Samsung’s Exynos 9609 SoC accompanied by 4GB of RAM. The handset draws power from a 3,500mAh battery that now gets some optimizations from the new firmware update.
The new Android version will definitely add some fresh air to the smartphone. Let’s see how the company will proceed with other regions that are still calling for this update.
