Oppo has unveiled the characteristics of the screen of its next flagship, the Oppo Find X2. After its excellent Oppo Find X of 2018, the Chinese manufacturer returns in 2020 with a brand new flagship. It will be officially unveiled on February 22 at MWC 2020, and could also feel alone in this event.
We still know little about this Oppo Find X2 which has rather managed to escape leaks so far. It was without counting the vice-president of the brand who already reveals to us the characteristics of the screen of the smartphone.
In a tweet, Brian Shen, who heads marketing for Oppo, says more about the Find X2 screen:
- 120Hz Refresh rate
- 2k Resolution
- 240Hz Sampling
- SDR to HDR conversion
- HDR up to 1200nits brightness
- 100% DCI-P3
We can read there that the screen will be entitled to a refresh rate at 120 Hz, like the next OnePlus or the Galaxy S20 from Samsung. A “2K” definition which changes according to the brands, but which at Oppo indicates approximately 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Above all, we can see that the screen will benefit from a touch screen sampling rate of 240 Hz. This is the refresh rate at which the screen detects changes in its touch screen. In other words, it makes the smartphone more responsive to finger movements.
This is my kind of ‘Flagship’ 🤓

Speed is not everything, Brian Shen also promises that the screen will display 100% of the DCI-P3 spectrum and with a brightness rate of up to 1200 cd / m² in HDR, which points to the use of a screen OLEDs.
Last point, he mentions the possibility of converting SDR content to HDR content on the fly, it is also a promise of OnePlus with its new screen.
Oppo Find X2: A REAL FLAGSHIP
Oppo seems ready to bring together everything that will make a real technological flagship in 2020 in its new smartphone. It must be said that the brand has a real opportunity to replace Huawei in the Western market.
