Apple’s catalog currently includes two ranges of AirPods: the second generation of classic AirPods and the very recent AirPods Pro. This latter is distinguished by their in-ear format and active noise reduction. There is $90 difference between the two headphones when you consider the price of standard AirPods with the wireless charging box. It remains to be seen how this “light” version of the “AirPods Pro” will fit into the current range. Apple has a fairly small margin for maneuver.

The Digitimes report also tells us that Apple is currently working on a reorganization of its supply chain. In the context of the coronavirus which affects production capacities in China, a large part of production would be moved to Taiwan.

“Apple, which maintains partnerships with supply chains in both Taiwan and China, could contract with its Taiwanese partners to produce more new generation iPads, Apple Watch, AirPod Pro Lite and iMac devices, “the report said.

Production would start in the coming months. The new headphones, as well as the rest of the products mentioned in the document, should be ready for marketing in the fall of 2020. What will be the prices? we will have to wait a little longer.
