According to recent reports, the Xiaomi Mi 10 was only on sale for 1 minute before it went out of stock. This shows the popularity of this smartphone. However, potential buyers may have to wait for sometime before another sale. This is because the production plant is currently in locks. This is because of the recent Coronavirus situation in China. Thus, except Xiaomi has some stocks in reserve, the next sales will take some time. Nevertheless, Xu Jieyun, the general manager of the Xiaomi Group’s public relations department revealed some information from the back-end data of the Xiaomi 10 series pre-sale.
Gizchina News of the week
According to him, at least 40% of users that participated in the Xiaomi Mi 10 pre-sale came from other brands. One of these brands accounts for a huge number of these “new friends of Mi”. This is actually what most OEMs want, to poach users of other brands. He said “Suddenly there are so many new friends. Mi Fan who has not bought today, please be tolerant. On February 18, Xiaomi 10 Pro will sell for the first time”.
This does not mean that the “new friends” are dumping their old brands. It only shows that Xiaomi is giving netizens a reason to try out the brand. If the Xiaomi Mi 10 fails to meet expectations, these new users will probably disappear as quickly as they came.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 uses a 6.67″AMOLED punch-hole curved display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. The chin is quite thin (3.32 mm) and this display supports sunny screen 3.0, 1120nit brightness, 5000000: 1 contrast ratio, and a flexible screen COP process.
This phone comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC which supports SA / NSA dual-mode. It uses a new generation LPDDR 5 memory and a faster UFS3.0 which delivers write speed up to 730MB / s. It also support Wi-Fi 6 which comes with a throughput rate of 9.6Gbps. Thanks to its specs, the Mi 10 is able to score more than 585,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark.
