OnePlus rolls out new OxygenOS updates for OnePlus 7/7T and 7T Pro


OnePlus is rolling out a new OxygenOS update for its OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7 Pro, and OnePlus 7 smartphones. The latest software update brings the month-old January 2020 Android security patch along with some new features and several bug fixes to the three devices.

The latest update for the OnePlus 7-series carries the OxygenOS 10.0.4 software version in Europe and other global markets. While the users based in India are getting the OxygenOS 10.3.1 version update. The OnePlus 7T Pro, on the other hand, comes with the OxygenOS 10.0.7 version update [EU and Global].

As per the changelog, the new update brings optimizations to the devices RAM management system. It also comes with improvements to black/blank screen issues with some apps alongside an added feature to support reminders for privacy alerts. Additionally, the new OxygenOS software details improvements for the overall system stability and fixed general bugs.

India-Only features with the new OxygenOS update

As mentioned, the latest OxygenOS update version varies across the regions in its rollout. As it brings some new additional India-only features to OnePlus smartphones. These include the Integration of the VoWifi registration for the Jio Sim, the Supported synchronization with Notes and Contacts, a new Work-Life Balance application, and also the Cricket Scores notification card updates.

The new software update is rolling out via OTA (Over-the-air) globally. Its firmware size is about 244 MB, depending on the smartphone model and the region. The update is being released for a limited number of users, and the broader rollout should commence in the coming days for all if no bugs are found.

OnePlus Global product manager also said in the statement, ‘we appreciate your active feedback and for reaching out to us.
