Xiaomi Mi 10 / Pro MIUI 11 development version to arrive from February 17

A few days ago, Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, released its latest flagship, Xiaomi Mi 10 series. These smartphones come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR5 memory, WiFi 6, UFS 3.0 storage, and a 108MP camera. It also uses a 90Hz custom AMOLED curved screen but the battery and fast charge capacity vary between both smartphones (Xiaomi Mi 10 / Pro).

According to Zhang Guoquan, director of the Xiaomi Mobile Phone System Software Department, the software development plans for the Xiaomi Mi 10 series will begin beta testing on February 17. While Xiaomi Mi 10 will commence on February 17th, the Pro model will start on February 24th. However, the company also states that it will inform users if the epidemic situation affects the MIUI team.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 uses a 6.67″AMOLED punch-hole curved display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. The chin is quite thin (3.32 mm) and this display supports sunny screen 3.0, 1120nit brightness, 5000000: 1 contrast ratio, and a flexible screen COP process. It comes with dual front and rear light sensors which makes the automatic brightness more accurate. This smartphone uses a symmetrical stereo with dual linear speakers equivalent to 1.0cc shock sound.

This phone comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC which supports SA / NSA dual-mode. It uses a new generation LPDDR 5 memory and a faster UFS3.0 which delivers write speed up to 730MB / s. It also support Wi-Fi 6 which comes with a throughput rate of 9.6Gbps. Thanks to its specs, the Mi 10 is able to score more than 585,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark.

For the cooling system, Xiaomi claims that this smartphone comes with a luxurious cooling system.  Xiaomi Mi 10 is equipped with a 3000mm² large VC liquid cooling plate + graphene + multi-layer graphite cooling system. It uses a 4780 mAh custom strip-shaped fast charge battery. This battery supports 30W wired fast flash charging, 30W wireless fast flash charging and 10W wireless reverse charging.

This device comes with a quad-rear camera setup. This includes a 108P main camera (1 / 1.33 inch outsole, 7P lens, 4 in 1 1.6 micron large pixel), 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens  (f / 2.4 aperture, 1.12 micron, 123-degree super-wide viewing angle), 2MP macro lens (f / 2.4 aperture, 1.75 microns, 2-10cm macro) and a 2MP depth of field lens (f / 2.4 aperture, 1.75 microns). Looking at the 108MP lens, it supports 8K movie, OIS + EIS, dual optical super image stabilization; AI video editing, 12 AI smart templates, AI real-time voice to subtitles, video tagging, and other functions. It is also suitable for mainstream PTZ fast ​​pairing.

    the base model is $570 while the pro model is $670…. i would say $700 tho

    you can google for more accurate numbers tho

    i want to get this device however i’m unsure how often the phone will get update, i’m also a gamer so i’m really curious as to how the cooling system would hold up. how was your experience with the mi8 been jose?
