Last month, Samsung launched its new Galaxy A smartphone dubbed Galaxy A51 in the Indian market. It seems like the company has one more device up its sleeves for the country. The chaebol is now working on a Galaxy A70 successor called Galaxy A71. The device has already been leaked numerous times earlier. As per the new emerging report, the company might launch the smartphone on February 19 in India. With the device, the company is trying to offer a premium mid-range device.

As mentioned earlier, the device will go official tomorrow in the Indian market. Coming to the pricing, the report suggests an expected price tag of INR 30,000 (roughly $419). It is worth mentioning that this report is coming from IANS with sources aware of the development.

Specs, Features

This is not the first time we are looking at the Samsung Galaxy A71 smartphone. The device has already launched in Vietnam. Talking about the specifications, the device features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display panel with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The display will have a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Under the hood, the device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

In terms of optics, there is a quad-camera module featuring a 64MP primary sensor, 5MP depth sensor, 12MP ultrawide lens, and 5MP macro lens. For selfies, there is a 32MP front snapper with an aperture of f/2.2. All of these are backed by a 4,500mAh battery packed inside with a 25W fast charging capabilities. As expected, the device runs on One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 operating system.

Furthermore, it is reported that the device will make use of some features under the “Make in India” campaign. For those who’re unaware, the company has one of the biggest R&D facility outside of the homeland in India.
