Earlier this month, OnePlus rollout out the month-old January 2020 security patch for the OnePlus 7T Pro and 7/7 Pro devices. The company did leave behind the OnePlus 7T for some reason. Now, the smartphone is finally the pending update to all units globally.
The latest update for the OnePlus 7T smartphone carries the software build version OxygenOS 10.0.8 globally and OxygenOS 10.3.1 in India. The OTA update is about 234 MB in firmware size and brings some bug fixes and new features to the device along with the month-old January 2020 security patch.
As per the detailed changelog, the update optimizes the device RAM management system. It also comes with improvements to black/blank screen issues for some apps alongside overall system stability and fixed general bugs. Additionally, the new OxygenOS software also includes an added feature to support reminders for privacy alerts.
The OxygenOS 10.3.1 update rolling out in India, further, has some more sets of optimizations and new features. These include the Integration of the VoWifi registration for the Jio Sim and Supported synchronization with Notes and Contacts. It also adds a new Work-Life Balance software – with an auto-track feature, and Cricket Scores notification card updates.
Gizchina News of the week
As per the company’s official forum post, the OTA update is rolling out incrementally for all devices globally. So, it could take a while before a broader rollout in the coming days. Users will get a notification prompt to download the update. Alternately, the update can also be checked by going to the Oxygen Updater app.
