The Danish watchmaker Skagen, apparently, adopted a six-month cycle for releasing the new Falster smartwatch. The hyper-minimalist watch brand unveiled the first Falster smartwatch at CES 2019 and six months later, the Falster was launched in August 2019. Now, six months after the Falster 2, the company is unveiling the Skagen Faster 3 smartwatch in India. It comes as a partnership with X by KYGO.
Skagen Falster 3 specifications
The Skagen Falster 3 boasts a 42mm design and packs a 1.3-inch full round AMOLED with 328 pixels per inch. The smartwatch runs WearOS by Google. Moreover, it features cardiogram app support, GPS, interchangeable straps, Waterproof up to 30m. The Smartwatch is powered by Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. It features a speaker system built in that allows users to answer calls directly from the smartwatch. Moreover, the user can access Google Assistant, Play music via third-party apps and translate texts with Google Translate app.

The Skagen Falster 3 boasts Tiles which provides users with a quick way to view information at a glance and also perform quick actions. The smartwatch borrows several features from its predecessor. It includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Heart Rate tracking, untethered GPS, NFC for Google Pay and Rapid Charging that will charge the device to 80% in 50 minutes.
The smartwatch will come pre-installed with a suite of apps such as Spotify, Noonlight and already mentioned Cardiogram app. The latter will give users heart rate data and it can be shared with doctors or family. Moreover, it has continuous monitoring capabilities to detect possible signs of diabetes, sleep apnea, hypertension, and atrial fibrillation. According to the company, the battery provides up to 24 hours of continuous use with its battery-efficient dial.
Pricing and Availability
The Falster 3 will be available in 3 styles and also have a limited edition style designed in partnership with X by KYGO brand. The watch retails for Rs.21,995 (~$306) and will be available in popular Indian stores.
