We’re just a few days from seeing Xiaomi’s Black Shark 3 in all its glory. The company scheduled the launch for March 3 but today, it also opened the pre-registrations and posted a couple of teasers. One of these teasers partially reveals the design of the upcoming gaming smartphone.
The powerful game smartphone will offer a 90Hz display with a 270Hz touch sampling rate. That is the fastest touch polling on a smartphone to reach the market. Moreover, it features an impressive single-finger touch response delay of 24ms while multi-finger touch registers in 28ms. This should be enough to minimize input lag and ensure fluent and optimal gaming experience.

The video also partially reveals the front of the handset. We can see that the Black Shark 3 won’t be much different from its predecessor, at least in the front panel. The handset features a 3.5mm audio jack at the top and dual front-facing stereo loudspeakers. Interestingly enough, it won’t come with any notch or cutout, just a standard top bezel for the front-facing camera.
Moving around to the back we can see more similarities with the 2020 smartphone. But of course, it pays all respect to the design language of the Black Shark series. There we can find an LED-illuminated logo along with other LED accents and what seems to be a combination of glass and aluminum for the rear panel.
The Black Shark 3 will feature Qualcomm’s almighty Snapdragon 865, a QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, rumors suggest a 5,000mAh rated battery with 65W fast-charging support. We will know more about the smartphone soon enough.
