Samsung is rolling out an important first update for its Galaxy S20, starting with the Ultra model. On the program, improved autofocus on the camera and the latest Android security patches.
In the video game sector, we are now entitled to the traditional “patch day one”, an update often consistent, available from the launch of the title to make improvements that could not be added in time. With the “OTA” updates, smartphones are now taking the same path. Here, it is the Galaxy S20 Ultra which receives an update even before the start of its commercialization.
Security patches and improved autofocus
This new firmware version (G988NKSU1ATBR) integrates the Android security patches of March 2020. It has already started to be deployed in South Korea and should soon be in other regions of the world. Shortly after the S20 Ultra, it is expected that the S20+ and S20 will also get the update.
This provides system improvements and fixes. The camera has benefited from retouching, particularly in terms of autofocus. The latter had been criticized by some testers and Samsung was able to react quickly to respond to the first feedback.
