Samsung started the global rollout of the latest software update for its Galaxy Note 10 series with Germany. The update includes a set of important refinements for some functionalities such as the face unlock and the gesture-based navigation system.
The firmware versions for the Note 10 and Note 10+ phones are N975FOXM2BTB3, N975FXXU2BTB5 and N975FXXU2BTB3 respectively. The referred update is being distributed to different units in Germany. Worth noting that this is a rather small update requiring only 260MB. However, it is enough to improve the facial recognition algorithm. Moreover, it brings general improvements to the gestures used for navigation. The Android 10 update gave a major focus to gesture-based navigation. So it’s natural to see Samsung putting it as a high priority.

The update also brings the usual set of bug fixes and software improvements. However, the changelog fails to detail them. The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ have been released in August last year with Android 9 Pie. After the rollout of the Android 10 update from Google, Samsung acted quickly to bring its update, in the form of One UI 2.0 for the Note 10 series. The owners of the phablet series can still wait for the Android 11 R update later this year. Meanwhile, Samsung will keep upgrading the One UI 2.0 base.
