Realme Band to come with IP68 rating, heart-rate monitor and USB-A connector

Realme will release new smartphones on March 6 and they will come to replace the very succesful Realme 5 and 5 Pro. Namely, Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro, both smartphones will come early in the next month, but they aren’t everything. The company will also launch its first smartband dubbed Realme band.

While we don’t know the price of the Realme Band, the company decided to reveal some of the features coming with it. The information is as official as it can be since it has been provided via Realme’s Indian website. The fast-growing company is doing its best to keep the hype alive towards the first health-related wearable. At first, the company revealed that the Realme Band will sport a color screen that shows notifications for calls, messages, and alarms.

Furthermore, the band will include sleep tracking and real-time heart monitoring and support for nine sport modes. That’s not a surprise for a product that has a focus in health-tracking. One of the sports covered by the Realme Band is Cricket, which is the most traditional sport in India. This feature will act as the main selling point for cricket enthusiasts. It’s a smart move.

Other features include IP68 water resistance certification and USB-A connector. With the latter feature, users can directly plug it into the regular USB-A port for hassle-free charging.

The new wearable will come in Yellow, Black, and Olive Green colors. Worth noting that a limited number of units will go on sale after the launch on March 5, 2 PM to 4 PM local time in India through the company’s Indian website.
