Microsoft Xbox Series S console price leaks – it’s quite cheap

jhdr

It is common knowledge that the Xbox Series X just like the Sony PS5 will have two versions. The console makers are having a hard time keeping the cost low. A recent speculation claims that these consoles would cost between $600 – $800. Of course, the popular opinion believes that the $800 price speculation is “too high”. To this end, the lower version of these consoles may be a consolation for those who can’t afford the high version. Microsoft already revealed that it is the “Microsoft Xbox Series S”. The internal codename of this device is “Lockhart”.

There are reports that Microsoft will soon introduce “Lockhart” for the first time. According to speculations, “Lockhart” uses Zen + Navi architecture, GPU floating-point performance 4TFLOPS. Although this number is lower than the Xbox One X, thanks to the RDNA architecture, the actual game performance is above the X1X.

Gizchina News of the week

Microsoft Xbox Series S may cost just $300

In addition, there are reports that the entry price of the “Lockhart” (digital version without an optical drive?) is $ 300. This might be quite interesting for some gamers considering that the Xbox One X costs $499.

In addition, some reports believe that the 4GHz Ryzen APU exposed last year may be used on the Xbox Series S. It will use 16GB of RAM, 12GB of which is allocated to the graphics card and 4GB to the OS layer. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that AMD Financial Analyst Conference will take place soon in China. At this event, Microsoft will demonstrate for the first time the Xbox Serie X hardware-accelerated ray tracing game based on the RDNA2 architecture.

While we await the official arrival of these consoles, the price speculation is quite complex. However, it is important to note that all major gaming consoles will not arrive until the end of this year. What do you think about the Microsoft Xbox Series X? You would be a complete idiot to.not just get a gaming PC if you’re gonna spend $800 on a locked down console.

Um $800 does not get you a complete PC system with a 2080RTX Super and 1TB NVMe drive.

Way everybody is trying to compare this game consoles with a PC, A PC is not a game console is a PC, you can play games like a game console even with more power, but at the end there are things that the PC will not be able to do like those console> The price of Xbox Serie S will be a hit to PS5 Sony will not be able to do that even if they bring a lower case.

What can a console do that a PC cant….I’ll wait for your response.

That was the case for the Xbox one x as well. He definitely won’t understand.

Yes, I read your ignorant comment. So to help you out, I will tell you, you would not be able to purchase a comparable PC for the price of an Xbox series x. Hopefully you can understand that.

Also game console controllers just naturally fit into the curve a humans hand and dont make your hand cramp at all. Trust me I’ve played gaming sessions longer than 10 hours with only a 2 bathroom breaks and one more break to get food

Makes sense it’s just faster to get into the game then waiting for everything to start

Not to mention a 4K disc player. Which would send the price of a PC way higher than a PS5 or Xbox series x. That something they never factor in. Funny enough, I think there’s about a 0% chance the new consoles will be $800. They’ll be $500-$600 tops.

Lmfao I got my 4K drive for like $60 bucks, the cost of a year of multiplayer pass on console (you know that thing PC players don’t have to pay). Plus it’s flashed with Libredrive so unlike your console drive it is region free.

    March 7, 2020

Ok. So where’s that parts list? Still waiting on that.

But since you like movies so much show me even a single console that can play any region Blu-Rays and the instructions for setting that up. I’ll wait.

    March 7, 2020

You actually said that like region a movies are hard to find. Do you think I order all of my movies from India?

Region B is Europe by the way, I guess you’re not really the movie aficionado you claim to be. it’s okay to admit the shortcomings of your hardware though, but you never will.

Lmao. Now that’s deflecting. You literally won’t address my question. I own over 400 movies. You wanna guess how many I had to buy online from over seas, and how many work in my Xbox?

    March 7, 2020

So no 4K player and it almost certainly costs more than a series x and ps5 will? Doesn’t sound comparable to me. Won’t even get into the cost of a 4K monitor and mouse and keyboard.

Xbox series x is at a minimum equivalent to a 2080rtx which is much better than a 1660. Will probably be closer to $500 in cost. Can get game pass on sale and have way more games than you all year. I should also point out that you lie, 4k/60 is not possible on your 1660 so nice try.

  22. M Dellheim

Why bother making a new system. The games are no good. The high cost of online gaming is not even worth buying a new system. The games require to much memory and are often expensive for expansion.
XBox 1 has barely done enough to even tap the potential of what could have been great experience.
The designers are forgetting those older gamers also that enjoy some of the original features of games as 4 player and co. OP gaming. If you’re going to make a new system it is only to improve the graphics not the game. Unless you change how the game is played changing the system means nothing.

Than you have no idea what you are doing lol. Got my 1660 ti, 16 gigs ram, Ryzen 7, 1tb ssd’s and 2 tb ssd, I play 4k Apex at 100 fps, bought it for $600 USD on black friday ($700 with shipping for US to Canada) lmao. Plus the parts are interchangeable and every game is on sale more and games, in general, are cheaper. Plus steam isn’t nearly as anticonsumer as the Xbox and Playstation store are.

    • Connect and sync a controller with one button press.
    • Deliver a snappy controller based operating system with little to no lag.
    • Squeeze more performance out of hardware by a margin anywhere between 1-27%, most of the time around 10% (most desktops with identical specs to an Xbox One can’t run a game like Batman or Monster Hunter with the same fidelity without hitting sub 20fps).
    • Have one united game ecosystem: no epic, gog, or humble exclusives.
    • Minimize updates to three categories: games, apps, and OS (No updating Direct X or controller Plug-In’s separately).
    • Developers are more likely to add features like software based HDR or Dynamic Res.
    • In the case of all Xbox’s Smart Delivery which allows smaller downloads based on hardware, very few games on PC have automatic systems in place like this and expect you to download higher resolution packs manually.
    • Xbox Series S & X will also have quick resume and variable rate shading which PC is completely missing at the moment.
    • And in my case, a girlfriend who would hate it if she had to use a wireless keyboard, and open a program every time she wants to use a 4K disk drive in a living room desktop.

The simple fact is millions will never use a living room desktop, it’s clunky and inconvenient, Xbox and PS4 are not. I wasn’t even able to list of the benefits of a PS4’s tech. PC is open platform and there are plenty of reasons to love it, but stop pretending like it’s universal it has a niche just like consoles.

And even with that he has to have black Friday to achieve his build. And still comes up short. Not sure about you but I definitely dont want to wait for a once a year sale in hopes to build a gaming rig. Smh

Well thats true to a degree with xbox but ps4 not the case

  30. Conner Baird
    March 8, 2020

Buddy, that gpu alone is $400, even if they get a deal and pay $300 for buying in bulk that still only leaves $200 for ram, cpu, etc. and that’s IF they sell if for cost and make zero money on the console. What you are thinking in the $500 version in the Xbox Series S, not the Series X like you are describing lol, which is basically the current xbox one x with a little more fps 😛 … see you dont have any idea what you are talking about lol.

  31. Conner Baird
    March 8, 2020

Build a gaming rig, you think buying a console is building a gaming rig than your whole comment makes sense, you just have no idea what you are talking about so you spit garbage lmao. I have to wait for black Friday because I live in Canada, the cost of living is high, the xbox one x costs almost $900 after tax and I have to pay those duties and shippings, so I am smart and wait for a sale so the bank wrecking me on conversion and the shipping/duties aren’t nearly as much genius lmao.

  32. Conner Baird
    March 8, 2020

Are you high? The 1660 ti is 4k lmao, I play Apex at 4k at 100 fps at max graphics except shadows xp bruh do some research before you open your mouth

  33. Conner Baird
    March 8, 2020

The xbox one x was the original spec they declared for the day one xbox fyi, took them like 6 years to get there lmao.

  34. Conner Baird
    March 8, 2020

You are making assumptions on something that hasn’t been released. The xbox day one specs didnt come until 6 years later as the xbox one x lol

  35. Conner Baird
    March 8, 2020

I got my 4k disk player for $85 regular price after tax in Canada. They still have it for sale at Tiger Direct lmao. The funniest thing about this is you’ve just priced the xbox series x build at over $1000 and you think they are going to sell it for $500 XP lmao

  36. Ryan Berg
    March 8, 2020

I’m talking about a 4K disc drive you dummy.

  37. Ryan Berg
    March 8, 2020

i Remember the days when everybody thought the one x was going to be more expensive than it was. Then Microsoft took a loss on it like they have many times in the past. Only a complete moron thinks there’s any way this thing costs 800 or more 😂

soo, $85 more added on top of your computer that is already far more expensive than a one x. How does that help your argument?

i think you should take your 1 brain cell, and rub it against Ryan Cavitt’s brain cell and see if that helps.
