Netflix HD, HDR support has arrived for these Samsung phones

Netflix

Netflix requires devices to be certified in order to play HD and HDR content. Sadly, this certification is complex as it requires cooperation between both Netflix and device manufacturers. And thus, most of the budget smartphones are limited to standard quality stream as the OEMs don’t get these devices certified to cut costs. That being said, Netlflix updates their list of supported devices slowly but surely. Now, as the new updated list is out, take a look at the new additions, which interestingly are mostly Samsung devices.

Do note that some of the devices below-listed were already certified earlier but have made to list of supported devices only now. Apart from the old devices, the new additions also include the freshly launched and yet to launch devices like Galaxy S20 series, Xiaomi Mi 10 series, Sony Xperia 1 II, TCL 10 Pro, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.
