Samsung’s refresh of its M series in 2020 continues as reports of a new handset have appeared today. So far, Samsung has released the Galaxy M31 in the country. The Galaxy M21 will be announced on March 16 in India, according to a report by IANS (Indo-Asian News Service). The report also mentions some of the key specifications of the handset, other than the ones leaked earlier via the Geekbench database.
The Samsung Galaxy M21 will be the successor to last year’s Galaxy M20 budget smartphones. As per the report by IANS, the device will come equipped with a 6.4-inches Super AMOLED display and a huge 6,000 mAh battery just like on the recently launched Galaxy M31. Apart from that, the report also reveals the phone to feature a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor.

Additionally, a Geekbench listing of Galaxy M21 from a few weeks back, exposed the device to be powered by Samsung Exynos 9611 SoC, which happens to power a number of budget smartphones from the company including Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A51. The variant of the phone benchmarked revealed it to feature 4GB RAM, however, it did not say anything about internal storage. But rumours suggest the device to come in 64GB and 128GB in Blue, Black, and Green colours. Lastly, for software, the phone will run Android 10 out of the box as per the benchmark listing.
As far as pricing is concerned, we can expect Samsung to charge less than the Galaxy M31’s starting price of INR 15,999.
