Gizchina News of the week
If you’re running Android 9 Pie or below and want to enjoy the dark interface you just need to head over to the settings menu where there will now be a new Theme section. From there, you can toggle between the Light and Dark Theme or keep the System default one which matches your phone’s native theme. Of course, the system default mode is made with Android 10 in mind. Users of old Android versions will need to select between Dark and Light modes.
Interestingly enough, this feature also allows those on Android 10 to force Light or Dark mode. So far it has been following the system’s default setting. We can’t affirm right now, but could this be a sign that other Google apps will also receive Dark Mode support on old Android versions? Only time will tell.
