Today, Vivo officially released the latest news regarding the upcoming Vivo S6 5G smartphone. According to the company, this smartphone will come with anĀ ultra-thin design. The company has previously revealed that this smartphone will support a dual-mode 5G chip as well as the night view selfie function. In the video, we can seeĀ feathers and a balloon floating in the air, and the text is “unexpectedly light?” and “1__g body, beyond imagination”. This indicates that the Vivo S6 body will use a slim design and the weight will be 100+ g (certainly not up to 200g).
At present, most 5G phones in the market weigh more than 200g. This is because the high power consumption of 5G requires larger batteries which obviously increases the weight. Considering that Vivo regards weight as a prominent selling point, Vivo S6 should not sacrifice battery capacity in exchange for weight advantages.

As per the teaser, the phone will have support for 5G network, unlike its predecessor which only had support for 4G. Although the brand did not mention anything, we can expect the phone to work on both SA (Standalone) and NSA (Non-standalone) 5G network. Hopefully, the company drops more teasers revealing the features of the device ahead of its unveiling day. Obviously, this is confirmed to support 5G network. Its recent 3c certification listing shows that it also supports 18W fast charge.
