Xiaomi RedmiBook 14 Gets BIS Certification, Indian Launch Seems Imminent

RedmiBook 14 Plus

Back in May 2019, Xiaomi launched its affordable premium laptop dubbed RedmiBook 14 in its homeland i.e. China. After years of waiting, it seems like the Chinese company is finally bringing its laptop lineup to the Indian market. The laptop has now managed to get the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification. This further solidifies that the company is indeed planning to bring the lineup to the country. This falls in line with our previous report.

Xiaomi RedmiBook 14 Appears on BIS Listing

Gizchina News of the week

This report comes courtesy of a notable tipster Mukul Sharma. He recently posted a tweet showcasing the BIS listing of the product. The upcoming RedmiBook 14 has appeared on the BIS listing with numerous models – XMA1901-DA, XMA1901-DG, XMA1901-FA, XMA1904-AA, XMA1904-AF, and XMA1904-AR. These would be all the different variants the product will come in. This means that we might see six different variants of the RedmiBook 14 lineup in the country.

Sadly, the listing hasn’t revealed anything else about the laptop. Considering the 2019 Chinese variant, the RedmiBook 14 comes with a 14-inch display having a resolution of 1920×0180 pixels. The laptop runs on Intel Core i7 10th-gen chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. On the software front, it runs on Windows 10 Home Edition. Furthermore, the laptop comes with 46W battery cells with fast charging support. One can charge around 50 per cent of battery in just 35 minutes.

Launch, Availability

As of now, Xiaomi hasn’t officially confirmed the existence of RedmiBook 14 for the Indian market. Since it has appeared on BIS listing now, it is safe to assume that the product is indeed making its way to the country. With that said, we should expect more information in the coming days.
