Android One devices should receive faster Android updates, at least in theory, but that’s not what happens with Xiaomi Android One devices. Google rolled out official Android 10 back in September last year, and the company is still struggling to ensure that its whole portfolio of Android One devices receive the update. After the start of this month, the Chinese giant began the rollout of Android 10 for Mi A3 owners. However, it was forced to suspend the update shortly after due to multiple reports of fingerprint sensor bugs as well as other anomalies in the software.

Today, however, it seems that Xiaomi is finally keen enough to roll out the revised update. According to some users, the stable Android 10 build is rolling again for their smartphones. The OTA update weighs in at 1.37GB and also brings the March security patch. Those who installed the previous version of the update will only get a 30MB patch. That’s the amount necessary to address all the critical issues.
The new update brings Android 10 all the goodies introduced by Google. Therefore, users will get system-wide dark mode, new gesture navigation and improved privacy controls. The update is already reaching Mi A3 users in Brazil and India. We believe that more regions will receive it soon.
