Officially Confirmed: Huawei Watch GT 2e Will Debut With Huawei P40

On March 26, Huawei will uncover the much-anticipated P40 series smartphones. Today, the company issued two other statements. According to them, apart from this smartphone, there will be other products as well – the new Huawei True Wireless Headset and the Huawei Watch GT 2e smartwatch.

Though the company has not provided any information concerning this smartwatch, the official posters show it will have excellent water resistance.

Anyways, we have grabbed a piece of information concerning this smartwatch. It turns out the Huawei Watch GT 2e will retain a round dial. But the overall design has changed slightly. The new watch measures 53 x 10.8 x 46.8 mm and weighs only 25 grams excluding the strap. The Huawei Watch GT 2e uses a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 × 454. Under the hood, it carries the Hisilicon Hi1132 chip, 16MB memory, and 4GB storage space.

As some sources claim, the Huawei Watch GT 2e can run continuously for 14 days on a single charge, and its sensors include barometers, accelerometers, gyroscopes, motion sensors, pedometers, and so on. Huawei will provide three colors: graphite black, volcano red, and mint green.

As for the original version, the Watch GT 2 came with a new Kirin A1 chip, which supports BT/BLE dual-mode Bluetooth 5.1 standard, can realize ultra-high-speed Bluetooth data transmission, and supports intelligent power-saving algorithm 2.0. On the top, it adopts a 1.39-inch AMOLED high-definition precision touch color screen. And the screen display resolution is 454*454, while the brightness reaches 1000 nits. The display effect is fine, the color saturation is high, and it is difficult for the naked eye to see the graininess of the screen. The 42mm model is more compact, and the curved surface mirror is gentle and soft. It has a 9.4mm ultra-thin body, weighing only 29g.
