Earlier this year, Xiaomi officially said it would launch multiple flagship devices under the Mi banner in India. Following that announcement, Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain just revealed that the Mi 10 would be launching in March 31st in the country. Xiaomi’s global handle on Twitter has also teased the launch for March 27th. Hence the global launch will be first and the India launch will follow.

Due to COVID-19’s looming threat, Xiaomi India will be broadcasting the launch live on social media and its website. Here’s the link to it. Interestingly, this is the first true Mi flagship launch since the Mi 5 launched in India back in 2016. Xiaomi has also recently made it clear that the Mi 10 will not be your typical Xiaomi flagship with aggressive pricing. Instead, because of 5G components and import duties, customers should expect a premium over the Chinese pricing.
This has lead to wide speculation that the Mi 10 prices might be even as high as INR 45,000 for the base variant, at the very least.ย In comparison, the same model in China costsย 3999 yuan ($573/ INR 42,500). It also doesn’t look likely that the Mi 10 Pro would launch alongside it as there have been no official hints to it.
In terms of key highlights, the Mi 10 has a curved AMOLED 90Hz display, Snapdragon 865, a 108MP main camera, and a 4,780mAh fast-charging battery.
