Xiaomi donates masks to Spain to combat the coronavirus

Right now, Spain is in a state of alarm due to the health emergency that is causing the coronavirus, which has become an extremely serious problem in the country. And for this reason, Xiaomi took a decision to donate medical supplies to the Ministry of Health, since right now the country’s hospitals are in a breakdown situation, and all the help they receive is little.

These masks are of the FFP3 type, which offers the highest level of protection possible, and in addition to sending this batch of masks to Spain, the company has also sent them to France and South Korea, which are two other countries affected by the virus. Italy has also got its donation, and right now, the company is working to get more material to other countries, such as Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Ukraine and Poland, as confirmed by the company itself, which also wanted to give a message of encouragement through a statement issued by Shou Zi Chew, CFO of Xiaomi.

Spain Coronavirus: 20,412 Cases and 1,043 Deaths

“At Xiaomi, we are aware that without the support of the Spanish our solid presence in this market would not be possible. For this reason, with this symbolic gesture, we want to show our appreciation, while showing our support and solidarity for Spain. Our sense of belonging to this country is what calls us, at times like this, to provide our support like any other local company. The Spanish welcomed us immediately with passion and warmth, and we are proud to be able to offer our contribution in favor of the Ministry of Health of the Spanish Government, which is carrying out, with commitment and determination, an excellent work for the benefit of all community.”

The company, which boasts of having a 0% ratio in the Wuhan offices has also stated that they already have 80% return to work. It is, without a doubt, a gesture that will get a lot of appreciation, and we are sure that it will come in handy for Spanish healthcare.
