Chinese manufacturing giant, Oppo, is getting set to unveil its second-generation Ace smartphone, Oppo Reno Ace 2. Today, Shen Yiren, vice president of Oppo, released some information regarding this smartphone. According to him, the Oppo Reno Ace 2 will arrive in April 2020. The Weibo post also mentions that the weight of this phone is “very friendly to the little finger”. This suggests that the weight of the Reno Ace 2 will be ideal.
In the 5G era, mobile phones have higher requirements for heat dissipation and battery life. In this context, the weight of smartphones is consistently increasing. Many flagship models weigh more than 200g and even more than 210g. The thin and light design has become a “scarce resource”. The specific weight of the Reno Ace 2 is unclear, it may be less than 200g, which is worth looking forward to.
Gizchina News of the week
Of course, the focus of Reno Ace 2 is not only on weight but also on the screen refresh rate and fast charging. The previous generation Reno Ace used a 90Hz high refresh rate waterdrop screen and supported 65W SuperVOOC super flash charge. It was the mobile phone with the highest charging power at the time and the fastest charging speed with the same battery capacity. It fills a 4000 mAh battery in 30 minutes.
As a new generation of Ace, the fast charging rate of Reno Ace 2 should be at least 65W. However, we can not rule out the possibility of a higher power. A new record in the charging speed and charging power may be set again. In addition, Oppo Reno Ace 2 uses an Oreo lens and it comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chip. This is the only flagship SoC with quad-core A77 architecture and integrated 5G baseband. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and has a powerful performance.
What do you think about the Oppo Reno Ace 2? Could it get more than 65W fast charge? Is that even safe? Let us know your thought in the comment section below
