Huawei Watch GT2e announced, it’s more affordable than GT2

After many months of leaks and speculation, Huawei has taken the wraps off its Huawei P40 series of smartphones. Along with the new devices, the company also revealed a new smartwatch dubbed Huawei Watch GT2e. As the name suggests, it’s a new variant of the Watch GT2 featuring sportier design and being more affordable than its predecessor.

The Watch GT2e features a new look, that in the end resembles the 46mm GT2 watch. The new wearable is built around a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454×454 pixels of resolution. However, it comes with thicker bezels in comparison to the most expensive Watch GT2. We can understand that Huawei had to cut some corners in the design to bring the price down. The watch measures 53.0 x 46.8mm. The new build includes a TPU wrist band. It comes with some small holes to improve the breathability of your pulse. Apart from the watchband, the GT2e features stainless steel construction.

According to the company’s official specs sheet, the Huawei Watch GT2e can deliver 14 days battery life thanks to the power-efficient Kirin A1 SoC. It’s another of Huawei in-house made chips, this one clearly focused in smartwatches. The company states that the watch can hold 30 hours if you’re using GPS. For music listening via Bluetooth, the battery will hold 24 hours of usage.

The Watch GT2e has a big focus in the sport activities

The GT2e can track a big variety of exercises.  That includes skateboarding, rock climbing, surfing, and even street dance. Moreover, you can take it for a swim both in a pool or open water (The watch has 5 ATM water resistance). While you’re at home, you can use treadmills, elliptical and rowing machines and the GT2e will monitor everything. Huawei wants to ensure that this new smartwatch is enough for all your exercise needs. It’s more than just an elegant wearable.

The Watch GT2e features a SpO2 sensor, which stands for peripheral capillary oxygen saturation. It gives you an estimate of the amount of oxygen in the blood, allowing you to get your maximal oxygen uptake. The watch can also monitor aerobic and anaerobic workouts and measure the effects of it on your health and wellness.

Gizchina News of the week

The smartwatch can track your progress and exercises for an entire week. This way, it can report your overall training intensity and recovery time necessary allowing it to push your body to the limit without unnecessary strain. Moreover, there’s a feature called TruRelax – It will help you to reduce your stress with some breathing exercises. There’s also sleep monitor feature, that’s something very common nowadays in advanced smartwatches. This feature can monitor and detect up to 6 types of sleep issues. This “smart” feature is definitely very useful and can help you keep your health up to date.
