Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite announced with Snapdragon 765G (5G) for €350

Mi 10 Lite

Today Xiaomi announced the Global variants of their first 2020 flagships – Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. These devices were announced in China last month, and finally are making their way to the European market. However, these two devices weren’t the only smartphones brought to the show. Without any previous teaser, Xiaomi took everyone by surprise with a new Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite. It’s a premium mid-range smartphone with solid specifications and 5G connectivity. Worth noting that this device isn’t available in China.

The Mi 10 Lite as we said before is a 5G mid-range smartphone. It represents the company’s first step to popularize 5G phones among the mid-end segment. The 10 Lite boasts Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC that comes with an integrated 5G modem. Xiaomi employed a liquid cooling technology to keep thermals under control. The amount of RAM hasn’t be specified by Xiaomi yet, however, the handset comes in 64GB and 128GB storage versions. Based in this information, we believe that it has either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

Pricing and Availability

The new smartphone will hit the market in early May. So we’ll have an entire month of waiting to see it hitting the market. The smartphone will be available in White, Gray, and Green color options.  Xiaomi Spain is already teasing the smartphone, thanks to it we know that the version with 64GB of Storage will cost €350. The 128GB  unit retails at €400.

That’s a new price point for the Snapdragon 765G chipset. We can see that Xiaomi had to cut some corners to bring the price of this smartphone down. However, thanks to it we have one of the most affordable 5G smartphones in the market. It’s a great start for a new series of mid-range phones with 5G connectivity.
