According to some sources, LG Electronics is preparing to release a 5G phone on May 15. This phone has all the features of a flagship smartphone. But it will be cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy S20 high-end smartphone. However, an LG Electronics official denied the report and said that the release date of the phone has not yet been determined.

LG expects that this new phone will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 or 765G processor (supporting 5G networks) and an accessory that supports dual screens.

By the way, LG Electronics is the second-largest electronics company in South Korea after Samsung. In addition to smartphones, it is also involved in a series of industries, including white goods and home appliances.

The company is a leader in 4G LTE and 5G patents. Earlier, data from a US patent consulting company showed that it obtained the most LTE and LTE-Advanced patents in the United States for five consecutive years from 2012 to 2016.

In order to achieve a breakthrough in the loss-making smartphone business, LG has adopted different methods in different regions. Earlier this year, the company released high-end 5G V60 ThinQ in some countries in North America and Europe. The target customers of this phone are those who want to try a faster 5G network phone.

Galaxy S20

The company said it will launch a ‘mass-end high-end’ smartphone for the Korean market. This phone is cheaper but has high-end features such as a larger screen, larger battery capacity, and a better camera.

In February of this year, LG Electronics stated that it will launch three smartphones with four rear cameras – LG K61, LG K51S, and LG K41S in Central and South America and Europe in the second quarter of this year. These three smartphones provide consumers with a first-class user experience through upgraded cameras, multimedia functions, and improved overall performance.

However, the company did not disclose the prices of the three new phones. Industry observers expect their prices to be around $300.
