Asus doesn’t have the best update track record, but at least, the company is trying to improve with the last year’s ZenFone 6 series. The handset already got an update to Android 10 and now the company is rolling out an incremental build with new features and security improvements.
First of all, the new firmware update introduces March 2020 Android security patch level to the ZenFone 6. We know that we’re already in April, but a one-month delay is something quite acceptable coming from Asus. Besides this, the update will also benefit Indian users of Reliance Jio since it enables the VoWiFi feature. It will also be good for Tele2 customers in Sweden which is also getting support for VoLTE.

Furthermore, this update also brings the usual set of bug fixes and system improvements. There’s also a new feature that will show a pop-up whenever a 3rd party app is requesting front camera access. The fact that this update is just an incremental update gets fortified by its size. It’s a rather small build weighing around 95MB in size. It is reaching Indian, European and Global units. Of course, its rollout is going on stages.
You can be patient and wait until your Asus ZenFone 6 gets contemplated with the OTA notification. If you’re not a patient person, then you can keep trying to force check the update via Settings >> System Menu.
