Huawei P30 / Pro gets EMUI 10.1 beta: PC can answer phone calls

Huawei P30 Pro

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are now receiving the EMUI 10.1 (10.1.0.118) internal beta update. This update comes with a couple of features including water ripple, 3D display effect, and on-screen fingerprint animation. It also comes with multi-screen fluidity and supports using a PC to answer calls. This means that when there is an incoming call (voice or video), users can answer it directly from their PC. Please note that EMUI 10.1 beta version is for select users. The applicable models include “C models” i.e. version number C00 / C01. Note: How to check the system C version number: Settings > About phone > Version number – C (two or three digits will be in brackets).

Gizchina News of the week

Calls from a PC: Just as mobile phones receive audio and video calls, you can use Huawei computers to answer directly. Interestingly, you do not have to pick up the phone which makes calls easier for those that are always on their PC.

Efficient file processing: With this update, Huawei PCs can directly open and edit mobile phone files. It brings a one-click access to the phone’s network, and display phone notifications simultaneously.

Screen sharing: With this feature, users can share their screen during video or voice calls. This enables you to multitask during operations that ordinarily will not allow you to multitask. For example, answering a video call and chatting on the same screen will be possible.

Gallery Upgrade: The gallery now has special management capabilities, under the same Huawei account and the same home WLAN network. Any device can browse, search, and share pictures and videos to other devices (need to turn on Bluetooth). Note that this feature only supports Huawei mobile phones, tablets and smart screens for now.
