Nubia Play 5G confirmed to launch on April 21


This morning, Nubia Mobile officially announced that the Nubia Play 5G new smartphone will launch on April 21st. Like most other recent launch events, it will arrive in an online event at 19:00 Chinese time. The official teaser also shows that this smartphone comes with 5G support.

Previously, a Nubia 5G smartphone with model number NX651J got the 3C certification. This phone should be Nubia Play 5G. The applicant and the manufacturer are Nubia Technology Co., Ltd. The production plant is Nanchang Zhenhua Communication Equipment Co., Ltd., and the first certification date is March 27.

The 3C listing shows that this smartphone will use a 30W fast power adapter. The adapter supports QC (QC 5Vdc-3A, 9Vdc-3A, 12Vdc-2.5A) and PD (PD 5Vdc-3A, 9Vdc-3A, 12Vdc-2.5A, 15Vdc-2A), PPS and other charging protocols. This will be the first Nubia smartphone with its new logo. Unfortunately, there is not much information regarding this device. Nevertheless, in the coming days, we will probably know a lot more about this smartphone. Thus, we have to keep our fingers crossed while waiting for what this smartphone will offer, 

Last year, Nubia launched the Z20 smartphone with a front-back symmetrical double-curved design and a curved metal middle frame. It also came with two-sided fingerprint power two-in-one buttons. In terms of screen, the Nubia Z20 uses a 6.42-inch FHD+ flexible hyperboloid AMOLED screen with a ratio of 2340 × 1080 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. On the back, it carries a 5.1-inch AMOLED flexible screen. Under the hood, the Nubia Z20 sports a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. In its turn, the latter is accompanied by a 512GB storage and 4000mAh battery, which supports 27W fast charge. Also, it supports PPS protocol, and is compatible with PD and QC4.0 fast charge. Among the other selling points, we can mention the dual-frequency GPS, dual VOLTE, dual-band WiFi, etc.
