After the completion of the closed beta testing, Vivo is now rolling out the Android 10 update for the Vivo Nex 3 5G. Vivo didn’t really need to do much work with the Android 10 update on the Nex 3 5G. Recall that Vivo Nex 3S recently arrived with the Android 10 system. The Nex 3S 5G is basically the Nex 3 with a Snapdragon 865 SoC. Thus, it technically needed a few tweaks before the rollout.
The latest Funtouch OS 10 comes with deep modifications and the design language is completely different. Apart from the Android 10, the Funtouch OS 10 also comes with a few tweaks. While the Quick Settings looks entirely different, the Notifications look pretty much the same. The new software version is 6.10.1.
The company seems to have done a little work on the fonts. There is a provision for users to use Google’s bottom ‘pill’ bar that comes with Android 10. Actually, by default, this feature is not active but you can activate it manually.

The Funtouch OS 10 on top of Android 10 also brings the March 2020 security patch. This report specifically refers to vivo NEX 3 5G with the model number V1924A. If your device is not this model, you may have to have a little patience for the update to arrive.
When talking about this handset, we like to mention that it sports a Snapdragon 865 (supporting dual-mode 5G) + LPDDR5 + UFS 3.1 flash memory combination. This makes the phone run any large game or app smoothly. Apart from this, the handset supports WiFi6 standard, still retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, and features an NFC module for electronic payments and more. In terms of battery life, it is equipped with a 4500mAh battery and supports a 44W super flash charge.
In terms of screen, its 6.89-inch flexible curved screen has a ratio of 99.6%. There are concealed pressure-sensitive buttons on the edges, combined with X-axis linear motors. This combination simulates the real touch feeling (the hidden physical buttons on the top of the screen).
For the front camera, the VIVO NEX 3S uses a special lifting camera. Finally, on the back, we can find a multi-camera, which consists of a 64-megapixel sensor (1.8-aperture and 1/1.7” super-size sensor), a 13-megapixel lens, and a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens.
