After initially letting out some promotional material about its Velvet series, LG has now gone ahead and release a full-blown official video showing us a good deal about the design of the device.
The video from LG’s official Korea channel on YouTube reveals the frontal and rear and some specifications. It starts with a White raindrop falling on the back. There’s a triple-camera setup and the primary camera is the largest of the bunch up top with a slight bump and a ring around it. The other 2 cameras arranged similarly in the descending order of size sit flush with the back of the phone. There is a flashlight at the bottom of the setup. On the front, there will be a single selfie camera housed inside a dew-drop notch.
Gizchina News of the week
The phone’s fuselage is a curved design that bodes well for better look and feel. There is an LG logo at the bottom. The phone rocks a power button on the right, volume buttons on the left along with another button that could be for activating the voice assistant. We have the Signal Antennas nicely hidden at the top and bottom and run along the rails of the silver finished sides. On the top, there is a microphone, along with a SIM card slot. On the bottom, we have a Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and speaker grills.
On the front, we have a curved display with a water-drop notch that could be an AMOLED display since there is no fingerprint sensor on the back. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G is also now confirmed, thanks to the video. The LG Velvet will come in 4 colours – Aurora White, Velvet Sunset, Aurora Green, Aurora Grey.
Unfortunately, many other details of the phone still remain unknown. But with a launch being imminent, we wouldn’t have to wait for long. Reports have suggested a May 15th launch.
