Oppo has just announced the new A12 smartphone in Indonesia. The handset comes after the company brought the Oppo A92s, and is likely to launch the Oppo A52 in China soon.
The Oppo A12 is the next budget entrant in the list and the phone comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch and a resolution of 1520×720. It also has Gorilla Glass 3 protection atop the display. The dimensions of the phone are 155.9×75.5×8.3mm and weight is 165g. It has a diamond finish on the back housing a dual-camera setup and a fingerprint sensor.
Gizchina News of the week
The Oppo A12 is powered by the Mediatek Helio P35 which is an Octa-core CPU along with POWERVR GE8320 for handling the graphic duties. The optics of the phone include a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera and a 2MP f/2.4 which on our guess will likely be a depth sensor. There is a single LED flash at the bottom of the setup. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie snapper.
Apart from this, the phone will have a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Micro-SD card expandable upto 256GB for storage expansion, 4G voLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS for connectivity. The device comes with two storage variants- 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The software side of things isn’t very interesting as the listing on the official website shows a ColorOS 6.1 that indicates the phone will come with Android 9 out of the box. Additional features include a Riding mode, Smart Assistant and a Dirac for audio enhancements. The phone is priced at 24,99,000 Indonesian Rupiah(Rs.12,340).
It seems like a solid device with amazing features esp. the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset.
