After the launch of its newer Oneplus 8 flagship series, Oneplus has decreased the price of its older flagship, Oneplus 7T pro. The device was launched at a price tag of Rs.53,999 in September 2019. After the new price cut, it is now available for as low as Rs.47,999.
The newer price cut of Rs.6,000 is yet to be reflected in amazon.in since the website has stopped selling anything apart from essential goods as instructed by the government adhering to the nation-wide lockdown rules.
If we recall, OnePlus 7T pro launched back in september 2019. The device had a minor upgrade over its predecessor, the OnePlus 7 Pro. It had a slightly better Processor and a minor camera upgrade. Hence, the device failed to outshine its predecessor in sales. Now, the OnePlus 8 series has unwrapped themselves, taking the latest flagship spot. Hence, the price cut was obvious to guess as the OnePlus has been following this tradition for every year. The base variant of the OnePlus 7T Pro is now available for 47,999 with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. However, the OnePlus 7T Pro Mclaren Edition is still retailing at 58,999 with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Gizchina News of the week
It must be noted that OnePlus had cut the prices of the standard 7T, a toned-down version of OnePlus 7T Pro a while back. There is no recent price cut on this device as of now and it retails for the same Rs. 34,999 for 8GB/128GB variant and Rs.37,999 for 8GB/256GB variant. Oneplus may not reduce the price of this further as it certainly is a good deal at the current price.
Apart from this, OnePlus is yet to set a sales date for its latest OnePlus 8 series. Amidst the lockdown due to COVID-19, it’s unlikely to begin anytime soon and we will have to wait until May 3, when the current lockdown ends.
