Crowdfunding campaign for the new laptop model CHUWI AeroBook Pro 15.6 is still running on Indiegogo and the makers are so far pretty happy with the proceedings. It attracted nearly 700 backers and already reached the initial goal. There are still 18 days remaining in the campaign and CHUWI just announced an extra stretch goal to reach for the fans. If the campaign breaks $400k they will unlock new Wi-Fi module for the laptop, upgrading Intel AC 3165 to Intel AC 7265.
The new Wi-Fi module should bring not just more stable connection and acceptance of wider range of Wi-Fi signal, but should also boost the full 5G frequency speed. Maximum speed is doubled, from the original 433 Mbps to 867 Mbps. So it’s a quite significant upgrade to the already very solid specs of the laptop and let’s hope the crowdfunding campaign can reach this next stretch goal.
